Copperbelt Minister Bowman Lusambo says President Edgar Lungu’s decision to pardon Patriotic Front (PF) members that stood on independent tickets in the last elections is a very good move.
Speaking in an interview with Pan African Radio, said President Lungu’s gesture of forgiving the MPs in the spirit of national reconciliation will make the party stronger.
Accordingly, Copperbelt Province, a PF dominated area, has three independents, one in Mufulira and two in Kitwe.
Meanwhile, The Patriotic Front in Kanyama has hailed President Edgar Lungu’s approach to matters of national importance since winning the last elections.
Speaking in an interview with Pan African Radio, Kanyama Constituency member Dr Kalonga Kanono praised President Lungu for taking a strong fight against army worms that are destroying maize crops in some parts of the country.
Dr Kanono added that the President prevailed over the reduction of fuel in his desire to make economic recovery.
