An unfortunate situation such as the Coronavirus pandemic should be an opportunity for citizens in each country to take some lessons in terms of investment decisions and priorities especially for an unpredictable future.
For us seeking public office to serve our citizens, our mind will be driven by how urgent we need to seriously invest in robust Information Communication Technology (ICTs) which is easily accessible and cost effective even to rural communities.
Citizens should be in a position to conduct any business and effectively transact in the comfort of their homes. In short, our economy should have minimal disruptions amidst such internal and external factors that are unanticipated.
HH believes Information Communication Technology can fight covid 19
Further, this situation educates us on how best we should grow our economy and reduce dependency from others in terms of supply of goods and services.
This country is richly blessed with good climatic conditions, natural and human resources that can basically produce anything thing that we require for survival.
Let’s only import that which we really need as opposed to the current situation where we import toothpicks from China.
Let’s have a new generation of ICT and creative citizens who will not only look forward to being employees, but be company owners and employers.
Be the first to like.
