Zambia continues to experience severe load shedding, despite recent heavy rainfall and flooding. The prolonged drought that began in early 2024 drastically reduced water levels in key reservoirs like Lake Kariba, severely limiting hydroelectric power generation for both Zimbabwe and Zambia.
