Proflight and MTN reward airtime winner Father Angelo Bellati

Durban-bound contestant is floating on air

LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Airtime took on a new meaning for a lucky MTN customer this week when he was presented with two return Proflight flights to Durban and a K30,000 cheque from the mobile phone company as winner of the network’s 12 Days of Christmas promotion.
Father Angelo Bellati of Lusaka was the fortunate contestant left on cloud nine after his phone number was selected in the competition run during the festive season on Rock FM.
MTN business general manager Komba Malukutila said the two companies came together to make sure customers win big.
“We are happy we could partner and work hand in hand with Proflight to make this prize journey to Durban,” said Mr Malukutila.
“Congratulations to Father Bellati for winning the trip to Durban, which gets him the chance to explore the magnificent city of golden beaches. He can take a friend, and they will be spoilt for choice on what to do in such an exciting city,” said Proflight Zambia’s director of government and industry affairs Captain Philip Lemba.
He added: “Durban is a wonderful place to explore, with so much to do. Not surprisingly, it is among the highest ranked cities in the world as a tourism destination.
“Durban has proved to be a very successful destination for Proflight for the last two years and we want our valued customers, especially those who haven’t had the opportunity to fly there yet, to tap into the enormous potential it possesses.”
Mr Malukutila added: “Congratulations to Angelo for winning the awesome prize – two return flights to Durban from Proflight and K30,000 spending money from MTN. Best of luck to him and his friends as they fly to Durban for the first time. MTN, Zambia’s number one network, is moving an extra mile in making the customer experience even better this year.”
Father Bellati, a Catholic priest at Situmbeko Parish in Lusaka West, was overwhelmed with gratitude to MTN and Proflight for the prize, saying it came as a big surprise.
“I have never been to Durban but I’m happy that I have a chance to visit South Africa, especially the beach,” he said.
Father Bellati, who has been in Zambia for over six years since arriving from Italy, said he is ready to fly to Durban with friends and experience a new adventure.

Proflight, in its bid to encourage travellers to fly more frequently, has been working hard, partnering with companies to initiate various promotions which have proven to be of huge value to its customers.
Proflight has been servicing the Lusaka-Durban route for over two years.
