FNB Zambia ‘Bank on Wheels’ bringing banking closer to people

FNB Zambia Head of Retail Banking Mwamba Musambo unveiled a state-of-the-art mobile banking unit offering “mobility, accessibility, and an innovative customer experience.
Earlier, FNB Zambia staff held a Friday, 21st April, 2023 roadshow across Lusaka introducing the new Mobile banking unit tagged as MAX: Mobility, Accessibility & Experience designed to bring comprehensive banking services right to all Zambian doorsteps.
During a brief unveiling event at East Park Mall in Lusaka, Ms. Musambo explained that an actual launch the Bank on Wheels service will happen soon.
Said Musambo: “Today’s FNB Zambia Roadshow, is unveiling MAX to communities across Zambia’s ten (10) Provinces; Central, Copperbelt, Eastern, Luapula, Lusaka, Muchinga, Northern, North-Western, Southern, and Western. We are excited to launch this innovative mobile banking unit on the 2023 World Innovation and Creativity Day, commemorated on the theme: “step out and innovate”, re-emphasising our position as the award winning innovative bank in Zambia”.
The World Creativity and Innovation Day (#WCID) is a global UN day celebrated on April 21 to raise awareness around the importance of creativity and innovation in problem solving with respect to advancing the United Nations (UN) sustainable development goals, also known as the “global goals”.
The day was created with UN resolution 71/284 with the support of 80 countries.
The first World Creativity and Innovation Day was celebrated on April 21, 2018.
The purpose of the day is to encourage creative multidisciplinary thinking at the individual and group levels which, according to a special report on the creative economy by UNESCO, UNDP, and UNOSSC, has “become the true wealth of nations in the 21st century”.
