UNITED Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) leader Charles Chanda says his three-year-old outfit and making both the Patriotic Front (PF) and United Party for National Development ( UPND) are running for their money.
Featuring on Millennium Radio 90.5FM Talk at Six anchored by Juliet Makwama, Mr. Chanda stated that his outfit is a force to reckon with.
Responding to a question whether or not political parties are offering checks and balances on the PF Government, Mr. Chanda says sadly the nascent democratic environment in Zambia does not tolerate dissenting viewpoints.
With barely five (5) months and three (3) weeks before Election Day, Chanda explained that it is now difficult for a citizen to see Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu at State House but easier for a Chinese to to be given audience.
“I have made frantic effort to offer economic solutions to Dr. Lungu but this audience is yet to materialise. I called Special Assistant to the President, Mr. Isaac Chipampe, that I want to meet Dr. Lungu but this telephone call has not materialised,” regretted Chanda that Chipampe, who replaced Amos Chanda did not yield results.
Chanda says politician making donations to the church is polluting spirituality and such persons are synonymous with being agents of the devil.
“The President is in the dark, on account of his lieutenants blocking those with home grown solutions to teething economic challenges confronting Zambia. Anyway, I will not complain if I am not given audience, as in 175 days, it might be myself inviting ECL,” noted Chanda 25 weeks before Zambians vote as at Thursday 18th February 2021.
Conceeding on account of a difficult economic environment, Chanda encourage Zambians to look to God as politicians do not have a sustainable solution.
“I want to encourage Zambians not to give up on account that things are tough, God is our refuge, do let us all remain faithful,” Chanda prayed as he insisted that the UPPZ message of hope toward a prosperous and Peaceful Zambia is sinking in the heart and minds if Zambia’s 18 million citizens.
Chanda says after the Thursday 12th August 2021 Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Government Elections, only one female or male will be elected.
A caller, Shikulu Michael concurred with Mr. Chanda on a concession that one does not possess all the knowledge.
President Lungu is expected to dissolve the Zambian Parliament on Wednesday 12th May 2021, which is in 83 days time.
