Musician James Banda has described the living standards of Lusaka’s infamous Chibolya Compound residents, located a stone throw from the Central Business District as ‘extremely underprivileged’.
Mr. Banda, branded or known as ‘Red Linso’, has said the poverty people in Chibolya Compound experience is pathetic and all successive governments in Zambia have cast a blind eye on their plight.
In a statement availed to Pan African Radio, Banda has lamented that hundreds of people, including women and children, in Chibolya are wallowing in abject poverty when politicians who solicit for votes from them in election times live lavishly.
He has charged that Zambia shall never be a conducive place to live in if corruption shall continue with impunity and has since entreated leaders to be transparent and stop exploiting the underprivileged citizens.
