Lusaka commuters have bitterly complained over some bus drivers’ behavior towards passengers.
According to Grace Nkhoma, bus drivers are in a habit of increasing bus fares when it is raining.
Ms. Nkhoma complained that other than increasing bus fares abnormally, passengers succumb to insults and bad language from drivers and call boys.
Meanwhile, the poor drainage system in Lusaka Central Business District (CBD) is a source of concern.
In an interview with Pan African Radio, a concerned resident Peter Mwanza said it is difficult for people to move freely when there is a heavy downpour as drainages are in bad state.
He has since urged Government to come up with strategies on how they could resolve the drainage systems in Lusaka.
In a similar development, a Lusaka based bus conductor of John Laing compound was beaten and left for dead by his employer and suspecting residents for not cashing money to his employer for a week.
The suspecting residents descended on a defenseless conductor who was spotted drinking beer at a local bar.
