Common Market for East and Southern Africa (COMESA) Secretary General Sindiso Ngwenya has congratulated Achim Burkart on his appointment as Germany’s Special Representative to COMESA.
Speaking at COMESA Secretariat on Wednesday 16th December 2016 folowing presentation of a Letter of Credence by His Excellency Achim Burkat, Dr. Ngwenya commended the Republic of Germany for being a reliable development partner through its leader Federal Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel.
“It is a privilege for COMESA to partner with Germany as the Federal Republic of Germany is the largest economy in the European Union (EU) and the fourth largest economy in the world with 1.13 trillion euros ($1.28 trillion) in goods and services exported in 2014,” an appreciative Dr. Ngwenya said.
