In a bid to accommodate for the payment of Road Tax and other licencing needs for motorists and fleet owners, all Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) Stations across Zambia will remain open on Saturdays throughout the month of December 2018, says RTSA Head – Pubic Relations Fredrick Mubanga.
Mr. Mubanga says the Agency is providing the latter as a way of appreciating all RTSA stakeholders for the cooperation in enhancing service delivery and road safety profile for Zambia, read a Media Statement circulated in Lusaka on Friday 14th December, 2018.
The RTSA Head of Public Relations hopes that the public will utilise this opportunity to comply with the law and pay for all road licences before the end of the year to avoid any inconveniences and avoid last minute payment of all Statutory obligations associated with the road transport sector.

“Additionally, the RTSA through the Director, Mr. Zindaba Soko, and last week launched the annual National Festive Season Road Safety Campaign as means of intensifying traffic law enforcement and road safety publicity and education campaigns across Zambia,” reiterated an appreciative Mubanga.

Making reference to the Christmas 2018 and New Year (2019), Mubanga observed that annually the festive season is characterised by increased volumes of road users and the RTSA had put in place measures that draw strength from a strong collection of law enforcement agencies.
“RTSA and the Zambia Police Traffic Section including all stakeholder parties will ensure adequate numbers of traffic officers on the roads, checking compliance and bringing to book those who endanger the lives of other road users with their recklessness and negligence,” pledged Mubanga.
