A physically challenged Mandela Washington Fellowship graduate Ian Banda has bemoaned the poor DisabilityPolicies in Zambia.
In an interview with Pan African Radio today, Banda who is a disability advocate and member of the Youth Equality Disability pressure group, a wing of the Zambia Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities (ZAPCD), said government and disability organizations should partner to promote the rights of people living with disabilities.

Banda, whose mobility is restricted to a wheelchair, noted that his disability is no longer a challenge but a cost because he pays for his wheelchair when embarking on a public service bus.
And Banda says people living with disabilities should not be underrated because they are a blessing adding that he will in the future marry an able bodied woman.
