Salary negotiations on-course, Joyce Nonde-Simukoko assures partners

LABOUR Minister Joyce Nonde-Simukoko has said government’s negotiating team for the 2017 Improved Salaries and Conditions of Service has submitted to her ministry information a progress report on the on-going negotiations.
In a press release, Simukoko the Ministry of Labour and Social Security expects its partners which are government unions and the Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) to guide and mediate in the negotiating process of their affiliates and provide the bargaining team space to amicably conclude negotiations.
Simukoko, who is looking forward to an amicable conclusion, said should there be any disagreements; all parties involved should follow the process enshrined in the Industrial and Labour Relations Act.
