By Ashton Kelly Bunda and Derrick Sinjela
UPCOMING Actress Zoe Ngwira says parents must support children who attend to extra activities that are constructive and beneficial to society apart from academic theories as it is would be a pathway to potential leadership in the near future.
Zoe Ngwira who is popularly known as Tionangi ‘or Tio’ in short plays daughter to Shupiwe, one of the wives to polygamist, wealthy farmer, Mr.Nguzu, played by Mutale Monde, in Mpali, a Zambian soap opera film that depicts the benefits of agriculture to the economy, has hit international air waves through DSTV.
Ngwira says education is key as it reveals the positive character that enhances talent and benefits and individual actor, actress and the entire community where that particular child, young person or adult comes from.
Ngwira, a student currently persuing a degree in purchasing and supply was speaking during the Children Talent Show hosted by Africa Directions Executive Director, Mark Chilongu on Saturday 6th March 2021 at the Africa Direction Youth Centre in Lusaka’s Mtendere Township.
Though arguably a budding international actress, Ngwira acted as a down to earth girl, during her motivational talk, speaks typical Chewa language in Mpali is about to graduate in the catering course argues a lot with her mother Shupiwew, equally outspoken among the seven (7) wives.
She concurs with idea of setting up Youth Centers like Africa Directions as a plat form for identifying unique raw talent that would put Zambia on the world map.
