As youths celebrate their day today slated under the theme _*“Enhancing Development through Sustainable Youth Partnerships”,*_ we would like to urge them to work together so as to contribute immensely to the growth of our nation.
Our appeal to the government is that it should create a platform on which sustainable youth partnership will be reality.
It is sad to note how  each year is celebrated under powerful themes that just remain on paper and not effective on the youth.
We call upon the youth to celebrate this day with wisdom, plans and ready to take up leadership positions especially that we are towards elections.
Youths should not live on the notion that they are the leaders of tomorrow but must explore all possibilities of attacking a traditional system that has defranchised the participation of young people in governance affairs.
We now have  people leading youth organizations as well as occupying youth positions when in fact they are not youths.
Let the youths arise to this challenge and take a leading role for they are the leaders of today and not tomorrow.
Political parties must be exemplary in incoporating young people in their internal party affairs.
This year 70% of the serving members of parliament must be retired from national duties by a vibrant youth revolution.
Youths must create their own opportunities in business, agriculture, technology and science by sitting on the same table that draws and implements policies.
Thus the more reason we can not divorce youths from political landscape.
Youths should know  that they are partners in development and they should refrain from being used as tools of violence by selfish individuals who are hungry for power.
When forming partnerships, let it be a group of individuals with wavering ideas.
Let those with like ideas work together so as to achieve the desired results.
By so doing, we shall see a reduction in stunted empowerment projects that are mostly due to lack of Concerted efforts among the youths.
