I don’t understand this notion of term limit for the sake of #Change, because not all change is good. If someone is doing well why do you want to insist on changing him just because the Constitution says so, why not change the constitution and allow a good guy to continue doing good things.
*As long as we are having elections it is okay. Actually the term limit clause must be removed from our constitution because it is extraneous and not progressive. If anything it costs us changing people every 10 years.*
I have just read that State House Press Secretary, Mr. Isaac Chipampe has dispelled the assertions that His Excellency President Edgar Lungu will go upto 2031 as reported in the News Diggers tabloid.

He said President Lungu will respect the Constitution and that no one was above the law and the President promoted those values.
Yes we have to respect the constitution but in so far as it’s helpful to our nation. It’s our constitution and we are not for the constitution but vice versa.
He said President Lungu was confident that he will win the 2021 elections hence the reference for him to leave office by 2026, but I wouldn’t mind if he even spoke about 2036 as long as he continues being good.
