*POLITICAL TEMPERATURE IN ZAMBIA 🇿🇲 DECEMBER 2022*.

In 2019 I did an article entitled as above;

*POLITICAL TEMPERATURE IN ZAMBIA* ”

In that article where I did a political weather focus for that day and the election in 2021. For those who remember that political focus, everything which was written happened exactly 💯 word by word. I wrote among many things that if general elections were held that day UPND and President Hakainde Hichilema would carry the day and form government. I did not only say that I went further and focused that the win would be outright 50+1% first round knock out and that there would be no re-run. In the same focus I wrote that UPND would not even need an alliance with any other political party to win the 12th August 2021 election.

Countrymen, today I am vindicated, because everything I foretold came to pass and today the once mighty PATRIOTIC FRONT (PF) remain unbelievably shocking to many of its leaders and members who some of them have confessed to me that it feels as though they are in a deep sleep dreaming and they are hoping to wake up anytime soon from this dream. While some have told me that if the PF leadership listened to my advice given freely to them through the articles I posted, things could have been different.

In reaction to both accessions in response I have told them that the loss of PF was the WORK OF FATE (DESTINY) .No one else has powers to change destiny that is already naturally preordained. PF had to do the right things to necessitate their downfall. Have the right people surrounding their Presidential candidate, removing those who would make him win, bring back those political heavy weights who insulted PF party as a corrupt outfit and its Party President, insulting them day and night while they were in the opposition so that the electorate can get angry with the ruling party.
The other necessary move to cause a humiliating defeat was, PF presidential candidate picking the right running mate and the PF Presidential candidate issuing an arrogant statement to defend his choice for his running mate, which led to the anger of many electorate; and in context I quote the statement;

ECL: “As for me this is my choice for a running mate. However, you also if you were given a chance you would have a choice of your own running mate suitable for you! But for me; its LUNGU NA LUO!” Something like this in context.

This statement was also a necessary ingredient to cause the electrol shock which did not spare the UPND who also could not believe they won that election.

The behavior of the cadres harassment of citizens was the right spice to the defeat of the party. This Analyst was labled by one PF media assistant director(Now PF member of Parliament)as self styled political analyst/philosopher; an insult which was necessary to annoy more electorate who have so much respect for this writer to remove the PF from government. Ignore my advice at your peril.

Why have I started this article by reminding you the history of where we are coming from? Well, the answer is obvious, your guess is right, I would like you take this message of the political focus currently in Zambia 🇿🇲 seriously, especially those in government and supporters of the ruling party and their sympathizers. Here I am writing this article as a thermometer reading temperature correctly without fear or favor.

DEEP ANALYSIS OF DECEMBER 2022 POLITICAL TEMPERATURE.

The normal body temperature of humans is 36.5°C to about 37. 5 °C , then this patient has recorded a normal temperature However any temperatures above 37. 5 needs attention. The other vital the clinician would require are the weight of the patient and blood pressure (BP) before he sees this patient. Depending on the results of the 3 vitals especially the temperature and BP coupled with the complaint the patient would give this clinician/physician, correct diagnosis of the problem might be possibly closer to the truth.

How will this political doctor/physician measure this political temperature in a nation? Like at the hospital the nurse picking the vitals will read body temperature by placing the thermometer 🌡 under the armpit, and BP on the arm below the shoulder and weight by the feet standing upright on the scale.

Mr. President let me tip you how you can quickly within a day 12 hours know whether your government is doing well or not and why? For you to find out quickly just put your thermometer on these 4 groups of people. Let praise singers continue singing for you because you need them, however if you need truth we are available , myself, Dr. Sishuwa and Dr. Alex Ng’oma we can independently give you our honest political opinion on the performance of your government and also advise you on areas you may need to improve and how.

2. Taxi driver and bus driver
3.street vendor
4.Police officers

When I went to do private political consultancy in Botswana 🇧🇼 in September 2019 I just booked about 10 different taxies to driver me around and I engaged each taxi driver and asked who would he vote for if elections were called that day? They will say without wasting time, these are the best in analyzing a popular/unpopular government.

I also would get a taxi and it took me to the market where they prepare traditional meals Shima/pulp/Heavy maize porridge and whilst there I would place my political thermometer in the midst of the marketiers. The easiest police officer to put a political thermometer 🌡 under his armpit is traffic police , these are easily available anywhere else in any country atleast in Africa 🌍.

Then the street vendors; it is very easy to engage and they represent the feelings of all unemployed youths and what they say is final, that is what will be reflected in the final election.

CURRENT POLITICAL 🌡THERMOMETER READING IN ZAMBIA 🇿🇲.

Without fear or favor the average political temperature 🌡 in the country is above 40°C . Among the four groups of people listed above the vendors, police and taxi drivers are the worst hit and these patients in a hospital situation, they would require admission, to be monitored and observed. However the situation is not yet life threatening but if not arrested the condition would get critical. For now Immediate intervention is required, the major complaint in all these patients is Economic fever (lack of money). Life has become unbearable day by day. No money is exchanging hands, no spending power, people who used to book taxies Ulendo and Yango has declined, they have changed to boarding minibus, and those who were boarding minibus have started walking or cycling home. And most of those who were walking to work are no longer working because construction works in the country are currently on hault, meaning that they have joined the unemployed. The situation is currently unpleasant.

I had a conversation with a colleague of mine a staunch UPND supporter of 24 years old in with the party now, a very close friend of mine who said to me; that UPND would easily win 2026 election because in Zambia 🇿🇲 today there is no strong opposition political parties!

I was very quick remind him that in Zambia 🇿🇲 by now he should know that political parties are less consequential when it came to changing governments, because the real main opposition political party to any government in Zambia is the electorate. I told him to forget about political names of prominent opposition political parties, the electorate do not care anymore. What the voter is concerned about is this government in power, has it kept its premises by fixing the economy to better his life? If the answer is Yes the government has done very well to fix the 5 basic human endeavors, especially hunger and unemployment, the third one being health situation around the voter, has the government addressed the drug shortages in clinics and hospitals?? if the answers are no, then they will wait for you on 12th August 2026 when early in the morning waking up the entire family just to go and remove the government of the day replacing it with anyone who will sing a better song in the 3 month’s of the campaign a run up to the election, one with the right message loud and clear for the electorate.

Therefore like I always do, my advice to the UPND leadership and government, is that your preoccupation starting from 2 January 2023 should be directed at sorting out viruses that cause Hunger, unemployment and that one that causes shortage of drugs in hospitals . Kindly treat these three as emergency cases on the list of five viruses that cause poverty.

My strongest fear is that next month January 2023 we will be counting 2024 and 2025, two years in between before general election in August 2026.

Mr. President at this stage and time , it maybe necessary for you to look at the perfomance of your appointments in constitutional offices, cabinet, parastatal organizations quartz government institutions and access their performance. It might not be a bad idea to effect cabinet reshuffle to swap or in worst case scenario retire those who have not performed to expectations and replace them with other members of Parliament available in your party and outside if need be. In my opinion in your cabinet you have a few passengers who needed redirection like yesterday and replace them immediately with even some independents where need be.
Look in the past how President Levy Mwanawasa did it, he out sourced his cabinet ministers from all walks of life depending on the quality of that individual to do the job and it worked well for the country , the economy under Levy performed extremely very well.

Otherwise its not too late for your government Mr. President to turn around the fortunes of this nation if only you can address the issues raised above in this political temperature analysis.

You members of the opposition please keep up your good works to do checks and balance with constructive criticism to government of the day. Be happy when you get arrested because police cells and jail are essential and necessary political colleges, once you become a graduate of these two colleges you are ready to lead a nation. However, do not deliberately be insulting the President inorder to attract attention of the police. Let your arrest be on merit, un intentionally motivated crime. On the other hand, my advice to law enforcement officers is to remain professional in your work, be like what we have seen happen in Malawi 🇲🇼 where you can arrest anyone in both cabinet and government apart from the President who is protected by immunity. Desist from unprofessional conduct to avoid being retired in national interest by a successive government.
