You have served diligently in various positions for close to 10 years having joined the then Zambia Prisons Service in 2009 as Senior Assistant Commissioner in Charge of Health Services and rose to the rank of Deputy Commissioner General-in-charge of Administration and Finance.
As you take-up your new appointment, i am aware that the correctional services is taking centre stage in focusing on agri-business and agro-processing and that you will ensure that this is achieved.
With this development, I am confident that the correctional services will be self-sustaining in providing for the inmates and contribute to the national food basket.
I expect you to provide leadership in promoting Government’s diversification agenda as outlined in the Seventh National Development Plan.

You are also expected to apply innovative systems to improve the current infrastructure in terms of space for prisoners, housing units for members of staff and general conditions of correctional facilities.
Incarceration of human beings does not entail incarceration of their human dignity. Let us work together to ensure that we improve the welfare of inmates.
With your vast experience in the operations of correctional services, I have no doubt that you will excel in your new appointment
Finally, let me take this opportunity to wish you all the best in your new position.
