Lusaka North of Pilgrim Wesleyan Church (PWC) women presented several foodstuffs worth thousands of Kwacha to their Presiding District Overseer Bishop Jericho Sikwiilala.
Speaking at the occasion in Lusaka, District women leader Mrs. Evelyn Mundiwa of Mungule PWC told the over 20 women leaders from over eight congregations to keep supporting the Presiding Bishop. This is according to the statement by District’s Director of Communications and Media Relations, Mr. Moses Walubita.
At the same function, the Guest Speaker, Mrs. Margaret Machuku of Chongwe PWC exhorted the women to keep supporting the servants of God, as it was during the days of Jesus, Luke 8: 1- 4.
Thanking the women, Bishop Sikwiilala said: “Today you have come to preach to me and my family. Keep it up.”

Bishop Sikwiilala reiterated his call to Pilgrim Wesleyan Church members to prioritise prayer in their spiritual lives. He outlined 10 ways any church can keep on growing. The ways are:
Upper room anointing, Responsiveness, United tribes/nationalities, The spirit over Awe or Expectations at church, Entrepreneurial giving, Peaceful and united communities, Winning evangelism and discipleship, Weekly membership and multiplication, United church faith and Generous tithing covenant church members.
The Bishop’s favourite song is “I am pressing on.”
Lusaka North District of the PWC starts from Chilimbulu Road in Lusaka in Lusaka Province to Serenje in Central Province and Mpongwe in Copperbelt Province.
In its quest to spread the gospel, Lusaka North District of Administration (DBA) works closely with PWC’s national office.

The district’s driving force and mission are: “1. vision statement “A dynamic church, transformed lives, helped and empowered communities in Zambia and beyond”. 2. Mission statement “to exalt Jesus Christ by equipping and mobilizing its entire membership to evangelism and discipleship with spiritual holiness emphasis, church planting, leadership development, training and ministries of compassion both within Zambia and beyond Africa since 1930s.”
Bishop Jericho Mabulo Siamwanja Sikwiilala answered his call to ministry while in Grade 8 at Pemba Secondary School in Southern Province where he was a prefect.
An orator, he served as Pilgrim Wesleyan Church national country Bishop for Zambia, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) between 1996 and 2008.
