On his part, UPND President Hakainde Hichilema cried foul over a growing lawlessness and tribal division in Zambia.
“Violence by the PF does not affect UPND, ADD and People’s Party only but everybody in Zambia, including marketeers and street vendors. The PF is using the money stolen from Mukula tree, ZAFFICO is simply a smoke screen, today , the PF is going for National Democratic Congress (NDC) Consultant Dr. Chishimba Kambwili, and Pilato is in exile in South Africa,” noted Hichilema.

Aside from Lusaka’s Chimbokaila and Kamwala correctional facilities being sold, Hichilema regretted that a Chinese firm, AVIC Construction had acquired the National Research Development Centre (NRDC), a claim which Information and Broadcasting Minister, Mss. Kampamba Mulenga has since dismissed with deserving contempt.
“There is no 2021 …the writing is on the wall … just look at the new appointments of the board at public newspapers-Times of Zambia (ToZ) and Zambia Daily Mail (ZDM), they are busy dividing the country through ethnic selections,” observed Hichilema.
