Zambia is earmarked to face a number of bad elements among them are the many key factors bordering strongly even on health threats such as water and sanitation challenges which may bleed along side effects with much higher risk of having some infectious diseases like cholera, diarrhoea and acute respiratory conditions.
The current scenario seen so far in the prevailing economic conditions have shown strong signs, following the drought experiences which is something that has poised highly with so much insurmountable aspects of challenges on the table, and this calls for models of engagements on tackling with multi-hazard preparedness channels and also seeking moderating factors on a strategic response plan to help in fostering strong support with the government functions as well as anchoring strong efforts with the private sector.
It is however an important undertaking to seriously look at right before anything to ensure that government and all key stakeholders have enough health supplies and equipment in stock, also try to work out on models of strengthening the disease surveillance and reporting systems especially in cases of unexpected outbreaks.
As a country, we also make sure that the healthcare system is strongly enhanced with much capacity in order to remain tightly in check about risk scenarios making sure there is also communication with the community engagement at large, while also prioritizing on the other hand the training of healthcare workers and community volunteers in readiness and response strategies for any foreseeable disease outbreaks likely to be experienced in this year.
