GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES THE 2022 NGOMA AWARDS

Today, we officially launched the Ngoma Awards which have been absent for the past few years.
The 2022 Ngoma Awards will this year be the first of their kind as we make sure that deserving artists be it Musicians, Actors, Visual artists, and others are well rewarded.
In our address at a media launch held at our office, among other fundamentals, we affirmed the New Dawn Government’s commitment to fully support the growth of the art industry and seeing to it that artists excel both locally and internationally.
Meanwhile, following the official opening for Entries today, we urged all artists to commence making submissions of their works before 30th October 2022.
We further stated that the nominees are slated to be announced to the general public for a popular vote on 10th November.
According to the roadmap set, voting will close on the 1st of December and the award ceremony will be held on the 3rd of December 2022 in Lusaka.
