PARTY of National Unity and Progress (PNUP) President Highvie Hamududu has criticized the government’s habit of changing policies like a ‘Yoyo’ literally translated as a a unwise, insane, or unpredictable person.
In a Saturday 20th March 2021 video, PNUP President Hamududu reiterated an evidence-based thinking that nations are built on clear, consistent, superior and predictable policies.
Mr. Hamududu said government policies should be based on short to medium term, and long-term strategies.
Mr. Hamududu observed that these predictable and clear policies must be accompanied by the right leadership that provides the matching political will to be actualized.
He said running a country requires a team singing from the same hymn book and not just one person thinking they could do things alone.
Ledama Sakuwaha backed Hamududu’s thinking on policy consistency: “Absolutely, policy is the grand plan on which the wheel of progress is underpinned for any society, therefore it’s consistence is the fundament of national prosperity. I agree totally with the PNUP Chief”.
