Mtendere Residents are happy over Lusaka City Council (LCC) and Community Based Enterprises (CBO’s) proactive and preventive response on waste management behind new Mtendere Secondary School within Munali Constituency
Lusaka City Council and the locally community based enterprises in Mtendere have responded to deplorable sanitary situation in the densely populated township located in Professor Nkandu Luo’s parliamentary seat of Munali.
This is follows residents complaints concerning the mismanagement of waste in the township, which attributed to perennial water-bourne diseases like Cholera and dysentery.
In an interview with several residents they have shown gratitude to the LCC for the early response to this devastating which is alarming on a daily basis in the township.
Lusaka City Council authorities led by elected Mayor Wilsoin Kalumba continue urging residents to be show practical concern in partnership with CBO’s, through payment of stipulated garbage collection fees.
This is viewed as an effective measure toward transforming Mtendere Township into a healthier and disease-free community.
