Faides TembaTemba appointed ActionAid Zambia Country Director

ACTIONAID Zambia Board and the Global Secretariate have appointed Faides TembaTemba as the Country Director for Zambia effective Saturday 1st June 2024.
ActionAid Zambia is part of ActionAid International which is a global movement of people working together to further human rights and defeat poverty for all.
It works in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas to eliminate poverty, inequalities and injustices that cause it.
“Faides is a feminist and champion of fighting inequality for all. She is also a social justice activist with a passion for social accountability monitoring and equality for all. She has over 24 years career experience in the development sector. She is the immediate past Executive Director for Civil Society for Poverty Reduction (CSPR), a local network of 104 civil society organizations. Faides also held senior positions in organizations such as Gender Links, Oxfam, Care International, SAFAIDS, REPSSI and Africare. She brings to ActionAid and the Federation a wealth of experience on issues of gender, social accountability, public finance management and development aid.
She holds a Diploma and a Degree in Social Work. She also holds a Master of Art Degree in Development Studies.
