PROFESSIONAL Teachers Union of Zambia (PROTUZ) General Secretary Kangwa Musenga is daring the Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ) to prepare question papers adapted from lessons learnt by learners compromised by Coronavirus (Covid 19) ramifications.
Mr. Musenga equally proposed a need for the Examination Council of Zambia to revise the curriculum to suit the current New Normal situation, which has confined a Learn From Home (LFH) and Work From Home (WFH) agenda.
Mr. Musenga is worried that the continued closure of schools has resulted in a number of girls getting pregnant as they have become vulnerable to peer pressure and men with disposable income.
Mr. Musenga has told Kwilanzi News Zambia in an interview in Lusaka that if nothing is done, the Zambia will see a rise in the cases of HIVAIDS among young people.
The PROTUZ General Secretary is suggesting that no repeat of grades is imposed on learners, preferring a multi-grade teaching environment to compensate on lost time for non-exam classes.
