  Kanchibiya, April 12, 2023, ZANIS—Chief Kabinga of the Bisa people in Kanchibiya District in Muchinga Province has appealed to the government to connect his chiefdom to the national hydro-electricity grid. The chief has bemoaned the lack of electricity connection to Kabinga chiefdom as a sad development. CHOMA Municipal Council has closed 100 Shebeens that have been operating within residential areas of the district. Choma Municipal Council Health Committee Chairperson Flanery Musika stated that all the 100 Shebeens were closed during separate council operations in the first quarter of this year.
