Upgrade certificates, acquire diplomas, BETUZ implores ‘Zambian Teachers’

The Basic Education Teachers Union of Zambia [BETUZ] has appealed to Teachers who upgraded their qualifications from Certificate to Diploma and are not yet put on a list of Civil Servants awaiting a Salary increment not to be frustrated.
BETUZ General Secretary Henry Sinkala has assured Teachers with recently acquired Diploma qualifications that as negotiations with government resume within a few months, a comprehensive list of deserving Teachers will be tabled to facilitate upward salary scale adjustments.
In an interview in Lusaka, Mr. Sinkala viewed concerns raised by Teachers countrywide as a priority area which once addressed will motivate Basic Education Teachers Union of Zambia members to diligently educate citizens.
The Basic Education Teachers Union of Zambia General Secretary assured Teachers that the pledge to upgrade salary is not a forgotten issue as it is being regarded as top priority in the forthcoming negotiations.
Mr. Sinkala implored Certificate holding Teachers to upgrade to Diploma level qualifications as a means of receiving a Salary upgrade.
