PEOPLE’S Alliance for Change (PAC) President Andyford Mayele Banda has accused the ruling Patriotic Front of being intolerant of Media Organizations that are critical in Zambia.
Mr. Banda says the reason why PF Leadership think that objective media institutions are against them is based on political fear of wrongs being exposed.
A passionate advocate of entrepreneurship, Andyford Mayele Banda said in an interview with _*Kwilanzi News Zambia*_
in Lusaka that it is evident enough that the Patriotic Party leadership does not tolerate any form of criticism.
In an apparent reference to a decision by Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) Director General Josephine Mapoma to suspend Gerald Shawa’s Prime Television Broadcasting License, Mr Banda viewed the action as a means to keep the Zambian electorate in the dark as the Thursday 12th August 2021 Local Government, Parliamentary and Presidential Elections approach.
The opposition leader says it is sad to see that every person criticizing the government or offering advice on how to improve the economy being vilified and portrayed as an enemy of the state.
