UPND National Chairperson Mutale Nalumango and Secretary General Steven Katuka visit Copperbelt Province

A high powered UPND National Management Committee (NMC) delegation lead by Party National Chairperson Hon. Mutale Nalumango is on the Copperbelt to check on the Party Mobilization exercise.
Mrs. Nalumango is accompanied by her Deputy Maj. Foloshi, Party Secretary General Hon. Steven Katuka, National Deputy Chairman – Religious Affairs Pastor Chileshe Kangwa and six other NMC officials met the party structures on the Copperbelt at the provincial secretariat yesterday.
Copperbelt Provincial Chairman Mr. Elisha Matambo lead his Management Committee, District Management Commitees and Constituency Management Committees.
Mr. Matambo informed the UPND National Chairperson that the Copperbelt was elated at her visitation.
The Provincial Chairman reported that his province was doing fine in terms of party mobilization through branch formation.
Mr. Matambo, at the same function, said the Copperbelt was happy with the visionary leadership the party national management committee was offering to general membership.
And Mr. Matambo who went on his knees thanked the NMC on behalf of President Hakainde Hichilema for the role they played in ensuring the Copperbelt was well organized to offer solidarity when HH appeared before Copperbelt police for questioning.
Party Secretary General Hon. Katuka gave a pat on the back of the Copperbelt Province for tapping into the vision of the party and ensuring it was implemented.
Hon. Katuka said he was personally happy with the party work going on the Copperbelt as per reports given by District Chairmen.
The UPND SG encouraged Mr. Matambo and his team not to be distracted by the people who do not want to work but good at fabricating lies to discourage the working team.
Meanwhile Mr. Katuka took a swipe on the members who were in the habit of calling his office to report lies on those that were working hard for the growth of the party.
“Some of you here are in the habit of calling my office to report your friends that they were not doing fine and that nothing was happening in the province. I want to warn you against such behaviour as it was a recipe of division and destruction, so you must stop.” He said.
Mr. Katuka said UPND was a party with regulations and structure which must be respected in the interest of discipline.
And Mrs. Nalumango also commended the Copperbelt for the good works going on in every district.
The National Chairperson said she was happy with the blending of new and old members on the Copperbelt which has made up a winning team.
Hon. Nalumango said UPND on the Copperbelt should continues with the programs aimed at increasing membership numbers and avoid indiscipline.
She emphasized that discipline was cardinal in UPND as she can also be disciplined once found at fought.
Hon. Nalumango said in line with what Mr. Katuka said all those who have a tendency of telling superiors in the party to remove others from the structures should stop and engage in team work.
The happy UPND National Chairperson charged every member of the party with the responsibility of forming branches as it was the only indisputable winning formular that will usher President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND into government.
