UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema is worried that while Zambians are suffering in abject poverty, a few are currently swimming in wealth and a life of plenty.
Mr. Hichilema is worried that a lot of children do not have access to education, retirees are sleeping at Government offices, waiting for their pension to be paid, while a few people are eating on behalf of the poor and marginalised communities.
Hichilema laments the level of political violence, occasioned during by-elections with a lot of citizens dying as a consequence.
The United Party for National Development leader Hakainde Hichilema says he has a duty to create opportunities for all Zambians regardless of ones geographical origin, and will not victimise anyone once elected as Republican President after the Thursday 12th August 2021 elections.
Hichilema says he always restrains himself from teaching hatred and assured civil servants that their jobs are secure.
“As civil servants, you must continue working diligently as all your jobs are secure.
Citizens must defend themselves once oppressed by police and political cadres”, admonished Hakainde Hichilema.

Hichilema cried foul that Zambians have buried too many citizens, who did not deserve to die.
Hichilema is begging police officers to desist from killing citizens as doing so will make them personally liable in future, them time of reckoning comes.
Hichilema says time has come for police officers to realise that those sending them to kill people have immunity while law enforcement officers are likely to be prosecuted as individuals with no recourse to presidential immunity.
Hichilema reiterated that he already has two prospective buyers for a Presidential jet bought by President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, whose savings and income raised will increase spending on education, health and social security.
Hichilema says savings from his personal travelling economy class on a return ticket to the United States of America (USA) or the United Kingdom facilitate educational sponsorship to five students annually.
Turning to Obvious Mwaliteta, Hichilema said once appointed a minister there would be no first class travel, as public servants will travel economy class.
UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema says the Electoral Commission of Zambia chaired by Justice Essau Chulu must not decide on behalf of of the electorate, pertaining to the conduct of elections.
HH says ECZ is preparing to produce a flawed electoral result on Thursday 12th August 2021 by failure to consult stakeholders.
“ECZ will foot the lodging and travel costs of political agents during the printing of ballot papers,” Hichilema insisted on an apparent reference to ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Patrick Nshindano’s position that austerity measures have compelled them to ask civil society and political parties to foot their own bills.
HH has paid tribute to Malawiain judges for withstanding political intimidation, and delivering a people-centred verdict.
United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema says the Constitutional of Zambia (Amendment) Bill No.10 of 2019 must be withdrawn forthwith.
Hichilema says Government must come to the negotiating table as the Constitutional making process is a consultative undertaking.
In an apparent reference to the political contributions of former African National Congress (ANC) leader, the late Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula, Hakainde Hichilema regretted that it is the same people of Bweengwa being demoninised for being Tonga.
