Fellow Citizens,
As 2019 comes to a close, we stand on the threshold of not only another year, but of a new decade.
As we launch into the final decade before 2030, my Government and I have our eyes firmly focused on achieving the aspirations of the Vision 2030; which is for Zambia to become a prosperous middle income country by 2030.
Our focus is beyond the next election: we look to create a better and more developed Zambia for the benefit of the next generations of Zambians, born and not yet born.
We are accelerating towards our goal through the implementation of the Seventh National Development Plan (7NDP).
My administration and I are devoted to the development of our Country without leaving any Zambian behind, regardless of their tribe, race, region, political affiliation, religion, gender or any other consideration. This is what drives our unwavering passion and our tireless efforts.
My administration and I want to see more youths and more millennials involved in the political and socio-economic decisions of their Country and its future. That is why one of the key reasons why the enactment of Constitutional Amendment Bill of 2019 needs to be embraced by all youths and progressive Zambians. Its enactment guarantees more participation and representation for the youth, women and disabled in the affairs of their nation.
