Mbala District Commissioner, Kedrick Sikombe urges people to always use toilets when answering nature calls

Mbala District Commissioner, Kedrick Sikombe has called on all the people in the area and beyond the Northern Province to always use toilets whenever nature calls.
Mr. Sikombe was speaking in Mbala on Thursday 29th November 2018, during the World Toilet Day (WTD) at Mbulu Community Hall.
Sikombe said the impact of exposure to human faeces has a very devastating impact on the public health, living conditions, nutrition and economic productivity in the district.
Sikombe said because of this, all the residents must always use toilets whenever nature calls so as to avoid open defecation in the district.
And Mbala Municipal Council, Mayor, Bright Simbeya says government under President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has increased budget on sanitation of 2019 by over 50 percent.
Mr Simbeya says the increment of the sanitation budget is a demonstration that the government is very serious to deal with sanitation issues.
Meanwhile, the Mayor Simbeya says Mbala district has implored all the community members in the district to work with the local authority to accelerate the implementation of sanitation activities in the area.
