Chasefu town council has approved the budget estimates for the period of 2019 – 2021 for the submission to the ministry of local government for final approval with minor adjustments.
This came to light at a full council meeting held at national assembly hall in emusa, on Tuesday the 27th November 2018 chaired by Chasefu District chairperson Mrs Banda Chimwememwe.
The council further elected Councillor Zimba Kennedy as deputy council chairperson pursuant to the local government act cap 281 of the laws of Zambia.

And the Council Secretary Mr Martin Mutale reported to the council that being a Christian nation in accordance with local government procedures recommended appointment to Chasefu town council a Chaplin whose prime role was to give spiritual counsel.
Further the council on proposal by councillor Obote and seconded by Councillor salome appointed Reverend Lazarus Chilenje of CCAP as the Chaplin.

The council secretary also reported to the council that Chasefu constituency received partial funding of k500,000 for the year 2018 in Chasefu district and about 22 projects were selected by the constituency development committee, he brought to light that the recommendations were made to the ministry of local government for final approval.
Also in attendance was senior Chief Magodi 5 and Chief Phikamalaza.
