As the electorate prepare to vote in the June 5th 2018 Chilanga by -election, two more polls are expected within 90 days following the death demise of United Party for National Development (UPND) Chilanga District Council Chairperson Mrs. Maria-Theresa Maimpampe Malila and Patriotic Front (PF) Mpulungu Vice Council Chairman Teddy Sichula, who died in a road traffic accident .
UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema expressed sadness over the late Mrs. Malila demise while Patriotic Front (PF) leader Edgar Chagwa Lungu had not yet made a comment by Press Time.
Mr. Hichilema described Ms. Malila as a highly dependable representative endowed with impressive council leadership, during her tenure as Chilanga District Council Chairperson.

Mrs. Malila was UPND Chilanga District Council Chairperson and wife to Supreme Court Judge and former Attorney General Mumba Malila whilst Mr. Sichula was Mpulungu Town Council Vice Chairperson.
