President Edgar Chagwa Lungu kicked of the day-Friday 9th December 2016 with a ceremony full of honours: a 21 Gun-salute.
We later moved into official talks where issues of mutual interests and concerns were discussed, talks hosted at State House.
Issues regarding trade imbalance, and specific sectoral issues in agriculture, tourism, mining, manufacturing and industrialisation where discussed.
Of interest is the project: “Liberation & Heritage Route Project” to memorialise the struggle tracing the route of the struggle.
President Lungu informed President Zuma that his government had gazzeted the house in which ANC foremost leader during the difficult period in exile, Oliver Reginald Tambo, stayed for 22 years.
President Jacob Zuma jointly with President Lungu, then hosted a media briefing. This was followed by a lunch state Banquet.
Later President lay wreaths at Freedom Park, a place that records victims of the struggle.
The day ended with a historical event of the Zambia-South Africa Business Forum, where business and investors where addressed by President Lungu and President Jacob Zuma.
