PARTY of National Unity (PNU) President Highvie Hamududu has commended the Zambian Defense Forces (ZDF) for restoring trading sanity with Lusaka’s Central Business District (CBD).
Featuring on a Live Radio 97.3FM programme ‘Reviewing 2017 and Forecasting Beyond 2018’, anchored by Eugene Lungu, Mr. Hamududu equally commended the street vendors for collaborating with the Zambian Army in removing makeshift stalls and cleaning after a directive by Commander-in-Chief-President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

Rendering support to the Presidential initiative, Hamududu encouraged President Lungu and line Ministries to keep the Zambian army a little longer within the Central Business District as it is imperative to create a Clean, Neat, and Environmentally friendly trading area.

”I salute the army, and I think the army must stay longer. The Zoona Kiosks can be replicated to vending not sacks. The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) must have a Fund for Street Vendors to acquire modern trading spaces. We must actually interface our indigenous people within shopping malls such as East Park Mall, Manda Hill Mall and Arcades Shopping Mall,” advised Hamududu.
