Spuki Mulemwa defends President Edgar Lungu

ZAMBIAN DNA Spokesperson Spuki Mulemwa has dismissed assertions that President Edgar Lungu is a tin-pot tyrant following his move to consult the nation on whether Zambia should remain in the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Mulemwa said in Lusaka that despite the fact that President Lungu allowed wide consultation on the ICC issue it is evident enough that he is not a dictator as the opposition view him.
Mulemwa said if President Lungu was a despot he would not have consulted Zambians but would have have just announced that Zambia had withdrawn its membership from the ICC.
Government had put aside K2.5 million for the consultation process regarding the ICC issue but many petitioners opted to shoot it down.
