Katoba People, receive Modern Health Post

TWIKATANE Health Post built at a cost of two million kwacha in Katoba area of Chongwe district has been commissioned.
Speaking during the commissioning, Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO said the facility will enable people in the area to access quality health care services closer to their homes.
Ms MASEBO has also reaffirmed government’s commitment in ensuring that health service provision is strengthened through an efficient and robust medicines and medical supply chain management system.
She added that the newly constructed facility will alleviate the suffering of vulnerable populations in the community.
Ms MASEBO has further observed that the project is an attestation that the ministry working with other stakeholders is on course towards achieving the goal of the Universal Health Coverage Agenda by the year 2030.
And Chongwe Mayor CHRISTOPHER HABEENZU has told the people of Katoba to guard the facility jealously and avoid vandalism.
Mr HABEENZU has also commended
stakeholders for supplementing government’s efforts.
The facility was set up by a faith-based organization known as Jesus Christ of Latter-daySaints, under public-private partnership initiative, also a joint effort with the community.
