Scriptural Reading for this Morning’s Devotion

Genesis 31:8-13

8 If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked.

9 Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.

10 And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled, and grisled.

11 And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I.

12 And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.

13 I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.

JACOB EXPLAINS TO HIS WIVES HOW GOD GAVE HIM MORE FLOCKS THAN HIS UNCLE

Genesis 31:8

The allegations were that Jacob had stolen his uncle’s flock and therefore he needed to explain to his wives what exactly happened because the possibility would have been that they could have believed the report their brothers had. The other issue is that in ancient times girls had no inheritance from their fathers and reason their brothers were angry and would have thought that their sisters connived with their husband to steal which was not the case.

NEGATIVE CONDITIONS OF SERVICE WILL ALWAYS FAVOUR THE OPPRESSED AND NOT THE OPPRESSORS

This is something we must always remember in life. When someone gets on a mission to unfairly attack you using whatever medium, such a person will suffer the consequences. This is why l just watch some social media admins, who l can pay a good salary till they, die, write things against me that are false just because someone thinks can dent my image and stop land empowerment. The more they oppress me the stronger l become and the more land gets into my hands till one day half of Zambia will be under my control. God deals with oppressor. I blessed someone with his first ever car in his life and because he was elevated he even shifted from the shanty compound. Satan came upon him and he joined my oppressors. He thought he will be able to stop the move of the God of bethel. Millions have come into my hands whilst that car that the little oppressor gave is now a source of sorrow. Watch who you oppressor as for some oppression is actually fertiliser for their growth.

Jacob explained to his wives that actually it was their father who by his wicked intentions made Jacob have more flocks.

WEALTH COMES FROM GOD
Genesis 31:9

Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.

What a statement made by a man who believed that a man can receive nothing except it is given by God.

John 3:27
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

No matter how much you try to grab what heaven has given it will not work. Even political power if God wants someone to lead you will cry and cry and the man will be on the throne till the time he has given him. God is not a Democrat. He does things at his own will

Proverbs 13:22
A good person leaves an inheritance to his grandchildren, but the wealth of the wicked is reserved for the righteous.

Jacob said it was God who gave him the flock and if anyone has a problem he must go and sort it out with him. You can’t grab what God has given someone. Not even DEC can be allowed to grab what Jacob has laboured for. The uncle called the flock proceeds of crime but the God of Bethel called it a blessing from above. Had work and faith will give you access to God’s wealth. Only 1% of politicians are not corrupt. The rest are hypocrites. They make decisions in Cabinet that will favour their business empires and friends and make sure their friends are reaped off all they have. Jacob was protected. I am blessed that God has given me land and mines,
