ZANACO NAMED 2022 BEST BANK IN ZAMBIA FOR THE 3RD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

ZAMBIA National Commercial Bank (Zanaco) Plc has for three consecutive years been awarded Best Bank in Zambia by Global Finance. This award recognises the Banks growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, new business development and product innovation.
This award has placed Zanaco on the continental league table, alongside other commercial banks from 36 countries including Standard Bank South Africa, Banque Nationale d’Algerie Algeria, First National Bank Namibia, Zenith Bank Nigeria, Bank of Kigali Rwanda..
The development further solidifies Zanaco’ s position as Zambia’s leading Bank.
Commenting on the development, Zanaco Chief Executive Officer Mukwandi Chibesakunda said the Bank will continue to accelerate its digital and innovation agenda to increase financial inclusion in the country, enhance customer service and deliver to the ecosystem as may be required.
“We remain focused on delivering on our digital first strategy and placing focus on sustainability developments to transform the face of banking in Zambia”, she added.
And commenting on the Award, publisher and editorial director of Global Finance, Joseph D. Giarraputo said, “The winners of this year’s awards are those banks that attended carefully to their customers’ needs in difficult markets and accomplished strong results while laying the foundations for future success”.
Mr Giarraputo added; “All selections were made by the editors of Global Finance after extensive consultations with corporate financial executives, bankers and banking consultants, and analysts throughout the world. In selecting these top banks, Global Finance considered factors that ranged from the quantitative objective to the informed subjective.
Objective criteria considered included: growth in assets, profitability, geographic reach, strategic relationships, new business development and innovation in products. Subjective criteria included the opinions of equity analysts, credit rating analysts, banking consultants and others involved in the industry”.
Winners have been chosen in more than 150 countries and territories across Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean, Central America, Central & Eastern Europe,
