RESIDENTS of Livingstone, Zimba, Kalomo districts and surrounding areas of the Southern Province on Monday put off their busy schedule to welcome the UPND Alliance presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema.
A jubilant community danced to different songs done in local languages especially one in Bemba, a most famous one; ‘2021 PF Kuyabebele Siyanabonanza”.
There was a peaceful procession and the residents flashed symbol of UPND and shouting Bally ni Bally change is here within earshot of Zambia Police Force officers manning the road show route.
And the UPND Alliance leader, Mr. Hichilema encouraged the electorates not to fear men and women in police uniform as they equally are eager to ‘Vote for Change’ on Thursday 12th August, 2021.
“Soldiers and police officers are your brothers and sisters do not fear them. It is time for change and turn up in large numbers to remove Patriotic Front (PF) a corrupt regime,” advised Hichilema, an entrepreneur-turned politician.
Meanwhile, UPND National Youth Chairperson Gilbert Liswaniso said the self-less leadership of Mr. Hichilema is amazing thus it’s capacity to achieve nationwide support.
“There is no need for PF to rig Thursday 12th August 2021 election as the 18 million Zambian people through 7 million voters want change. Let the electorate decide a victor or winning team through a democratic vote, my friend, it starts and ends there,” admonished Mr. Liswaniso.
And UPND Southern Province Deputy Spokesperson Neto Halwabala told journalists, who rushed to cover the distribution of face masks, that it was important that Mr. Hichilema interacted with the electorates to boost their morale ahead of voting day.
“As UPND Alliance in the Southern Province, the presence of Mr. Hichilema is important and cannot be taken for granted at any time.
It has not been easy but any opportunity is utilised to ensure people understand the vision of HH and his team across the country,” noted Mr. Halwabala.
And Mr. Hichilema left Southern Province with much satisfaction of sweeping the vote on account of a jubilant and enthusiastic community of citizens.
