Patriotic Front (PF) Deputy Spokesperson Frank Bwalya last year dismissed reports that Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili had been given an exculpatory letter to state why the party should not take any action against him.
Social media reports have disclosed that the PF Central Committee recently convened and resolved to ask Dr Kambwili to clear himself.
But Bwalya said he is not aware of any exculpatory letter that has been handed to Dr Kambwili.
Asked whether there are intentions by the ruling party of showing Kambwili the door in the near future, Bwalya responded in the negative.
He said anyone including himself can be expelled at any time depending on the gravity of the offense committed.
There have been perceived squabbles in the PF following the dismissal of Deputy Chairperson for elections Kelvin Fube Bwalya when he called for elections in the party from top to bottom.
But KBF has said his call for elections excludes that of the office of President Lungu because he was elected at the extra-ordinary convention in 2015 at the Mulungushi Rock of Authority while Central Committee Members have never been elected since 2011.
Earlier today Kambwili has asked the Patriotic Front (PF) leadership to discipline disgruntled elements who are issuing unpalatable statements against him.
And Dr Kambwili said negative publicity will never break his spirit, adding that he will never leave the party as he has a thick skin.
He said he is aware that a named tabloid has been writing negative stories about him but he does not mind because he is clean.
