CHIEF Nsamba of Lunga District in Luapula Province has urged political leaders to be open to genuine criticism, by acknowledging mistakes as any noted indifference will frustrate nation building, a consequence of collective responsibility.
Chief Nsamba says accepting or acknowledging criticism wil created a united community as subjects with dissenting viewpoints will feel part and parcel of all decisions made by political and traditional authorities in Zambia.
Chief Nsamba is equally prodding politicians to embrace people with divergent viewpoints as an effective means of all citizens acting collectively in defending the democratic dispensation.
The traditional leader says correcting an erring person is not to discredit a particular individual but helping an affected subject or citizen to act responsibly.
Preaching a message of ‘loving neighbours’ Chief Nsamba encouraged Zambian politicians to resolve their political differences and work towards peace and development in the country as a matter of urgency.
