Leadership Movement (LM) President Dr. Richard Silumbe has, urged the United Party for National Development (UPND) New Dawn Administration led by Hakainde Hichilema to help Zambia National Service (ZNS) embark on a mining expedition in Zambia to supplement agriculture production of which they are duty bound.
Dr. Silumbe said the Zambian currency will be one of the strongest in Africa if there is a consistent flow of foreign exchange due mining activities in the economy, hence the buying power will be benefitting some local people who are striving to start business activities.
Dr. Silumbe told the media that included Lusaka Times News, Rainbow News, Pan African Radio 96.1FM on Saturday 15th April, 2023 that there is abundant land and water in the nation and that Zambians must be provided with land as opposed to giving it to the “so called foreign investors.”
“Foreigners have become the first priority in modern day Zambia, Zambian individuals and cooperatives formed by Zambian must be registered issued with title deeds for farming and mining as opposed to giving huge portions of land to foreigners,” Dr. Silumbe stressed.
