Chipata City Mayor George Mwanza is in Germany on an exchange visit to Dormagen City from Sunday, 16th to Monday, 24th April 2023
A seven-member delegation led by Chipata City Mayor George Mwanza is in Germany on an exchange visit to Dormagen City from 16th to 24th April 2023.
The Mayor of Dormagen City Erik Lierenfeld states in his letter of invitation that the visit will deepen the friendly relationship and strong municipal partnership between the two twinned cities.
He says the two cities would like to promote sustainable development in both cities based on the signed twinning agreement.
Some of the delegations’ orientation visits will include a visit to the Dormagen Solar Park and Wind Turbines, a coal mine operated by the Germany Energy Supply and a visit to a refugee shelter.
The Mayor’s delegation includes Chipata Town Clerk Aaron Kamalondo and five (5) other officials from the municipal council.
The visit is part of the partnership engagement for the two cities that signed the town twinning Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in October last year in Chipata.
