Warm bilateral relations between Zambia and Jordan elate Hashemite Kingdom ‘Ruler’

King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has expressed happiness with the warm bilateral relations that exist between Zambia and Jordan.
King Abdullah II said in his interaction with Zambia’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr Joseph Chilengi that Jordan is ready to strengthen co-operation with Zambia, especially in the field of military and defence in order to build capacity for maintenance of global peace and security, which are prerequisites for sustainable development.
His Majesty the King said this at the Basman Palace in Amman today when he received Letters of Credence from Dr Chilengi.
“I am happy that Zambia is participating in the Aqaba Process follow-up meeting on East Africa and we want Zambia to be a consistent member of the Aqaba process to help build world peace and security,” King Abdullah II said.
King Abdullah II has invited Zambia to the Aqaba Process follow-up meeting scheduled for 8th and 9th December, 2018 in the Jordanian coastal city of Aqaba on the Red Sea.
He said the Jordanian Government was available to start discussions with Zambia on various areas of co-operation.
And Ambassador Chilengi conveyed to His Majesty King Abdullah II warm greetings from His Excellency, Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia and best wishes as he leads the Jordanian people to prosperity.
And in his written in the visitors’ book, Dr Chilengi who is non-resident Ambassador to Jordan, said President Lungu admires King Abdullah II for the strides he has made in steering the Kingdom to greater heights of economic development for the benefit of all Jordanians.
Dr Chilengi further said President Lungu shares King Abdullah’s aspirations for a stable and peaceful world where all people can co-exist and develop to their full potential.
He said President Lungu was determined to increase interaction of the peoples of the two friendly countries at all levels and strengthen bilateral relations.
On Wednesday, November, 28, 2018, Ambassador Chilengi presented copies of Letters of Credence to Secretary General of the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Zeidi Louzi.
Dr Chilengi and Mr Louzi discussed issues of mutual interest between Zambia and Jordan.
The Zambian Mission in Turkey covers Jordan, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Macedonia as countries of extra accreditation.
