Russian Academic Inga Koryagina visits Zambia, Fosters Cooperation with Africa

Professor Inga Koryagina, a leading Russian academic and international development expert, recently visited Lusaka to participate in the 2024 International Multi-Disciplinary Conference (IMDC 2024).
The conference, a prominent academic event in Zambia, brought together over 100 speakers from 20 countries to discuss “Fostering Knowledge Sharing and Innovation Competitiveness for Production-Enabled Development.
As a keynote speaker, Prof. Koryagina presented on enhancing business, education, and cultural cooperation between Russia and African nations. She emphasized the importance of BRICS+ cooperation and regional initiatives like the BRICS International Municipal Forum for fostering economic and cultural ties and achieving sustainable development goals.
Prof. Koryagina actively engaged in various conference activities, including a high-level media interaction, panel discussions, and student presentations.
Prof. Koryagina underscored the value of mutually beneficial cooperation and extended an invitation for joint efforts with Zambia to address global challenges and unlock new development opportunities.
During her visit, Prof. Koryagina met with Zambian officials, including the Russian Ambassador to Zambia and the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office.
Prof. Koryagina equally initiated discussions with Mulungushi University, aiming to establish a cooperation agreement and facilitate student exchange programs.
Prof. Koryagina’s visit is seen as a significant step towards strengthening Russian-African ties, laying the groundwork for future partnerships in science, culture, and business.
Prof. Koryagina’s contribution to the conference and her engagement with Zambian academia and officials have garnered significant attention, highlighting the potential for fruitful collaboration between Russia and Zambia.
Prof. Koryagina emphasized the importance of Brazil Russia China and South Africa (BRICS+) cooperation and regional initiatives for sustainable development.
