Egyptian Ambassador to Zambia, Ahmed Mostafa meets President Edgar Chagwa Lungu at State House

EGYPTIAN Ambassador to Zambia, Ahmed Mostafa has encouraged Zambia business entities that will be attending the Inaugural Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) to be held in Egypt, Cairo from 11th to the 17th December 2018 to focus on growing their businesses on a wide scale.

He said Zambians should think beyond doing trade between Zambia and Egypt but go continental and international and that it would be good to see more Zambian companies participate at the IATF and benefit from the trade opportunities to be shared.
H.E, Mr Mostafa said people should see the IATF as a center of trade relations, business connections and exchange opportunities because of the countries, enterprises and individuals expected to be at the event.
He said the event will not only provide delegates with trade and business exchanges and connections but there will be conferences where people can attend to get information and ideas that can help them expand their businesses and services.
Mr Mostafa said what people should know is that many businesses which are admired today did not suddenly rise to the top but started through the exchange of information and ideas then developed into trade partners as a result of finding opportunities in such events.
He said as Egyptian Embassy in Zambia will endeavour to raise awareness for such opportunities because of the results they bring such as investments in various countries, creation of jobs and help to grow economically.
Ambassador Mostafa further said that the Embassy will help with the processing of the visas for people traveling to Egypt for the IATF as long as they do prior registration with the organisers of event and that even those who want more information about the fair can contact the Embassy.
The IATF 2018, which will take place at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, will provide a platform for sharing trade, investment and market information and opportunities. It will enable buyers and sellers, investors and countries to conclude business deals. IATF2018 is expected, over the seven days, to bring together more than 1,000 exhibitors from across Africa and beyond and to attract more than 70,000 visitors, buyers and sellers, generating in excess of $25 billion in trade deals.
Further information about IATF2018, including registration and exhibition details, can be found at: www.intrafricantradefair.com.
