Livingstone Magistrate acquits 4 clearing agents

By Xavier Mulenga in Livingstone LIVINGSTONE Magistrate Mbololwa Mukela has acquitted four clearing agents who allegedly made false documents purporting to export used cans when in fact exported rosewood to Botswana. This is in a case in which Phenias Kalenga, 29, director, Henry Mwamba, 42, Emmanuel Njanji, 25 and Japhet Tembo, 29 all clearing agents are charged with five counts of making a false document. Derrick Sinjela ZAMBIA Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) Acting Corporate Communications Manager Hanford Chaaba is urging consumers to desist from purchasing and using already registered SIM cards as doing so is against the law, and anyone found wanting risks being prosecuted. Mr. Chaaba advised members of the public to report anyone found selling or in possession of fraudulently registered SIM cards to law enforcement agencies or to the Authority on 7070 for possible deactivation. KCM Liquidator Milingo Lungu’s woes deepen
