A TopStar female subscriber Precious Lubinda Wamundila from Lusaka’s Makeni is now an instant ‘Land-Lady’ winning a two-bed roomed grand prized house in the K750,000 worth TopStar House Money Car 2017 Christmas promotion, with Emmanuel Muzeya Dilema from Solwezi, North—Western Province who walked away with the Nissan NP300 van.

TopStar has given out a two-bedroomed house and a brand-new Nissan NP300 Hardbody in the final presentation of prizes in the just-ended TopStar House Money Car promotion to two lucky subscribers at a colourful ceremony in Lusaka.

Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Mulenga Kampamba, who officiated at the event, said the TopStar House Money Car promotion was more than just a marketing strategy as it has touched lives of the lucky subscribers who benefitted from the promotion as well as highlighting the benefits of digital TV migration.

In a Monday 5th February, 2018 Media Release circulated in Lusaka by TopStar Public Relations Manager Mwazipeza Sakala-Chanda, Ms. Kampamba said TopStar has proved to be a viable Pay TV service in the short period that it has been operating.

“I am informed that TopStar has over the past three months awarded over 75 lucky winners of the House Money Car Promotion with K750, 000 worth of prizes,  a Two-Bedroomed house a Brand-New Nissan Hard Body, three Nissan NP200 vans and weekly cash give-aways from 15th November, 2017 when the promotion began.” said Kampamba.

Ms. Kampamba described TopStar as public signal distributor, increasing local Channels and content being beamed into thousands of homes in Zambia’s  10 provinces-Central, Copperbelt, Eastern, Luapula, Lusaka, Muchinga, Northern, North-Western, Southern and Western.

“As a newcomer to the Pay TV industry, TopStar has shown its viability as a joint venture bringing the best of both digital terrestrial transmission (DTT) and direct to home (DTH) services while ensuring Zambia grows as a global player in the media market,” noted Ms. Kampamba.

Earlier, TopStar sales director Cliff Sichone said TopStar is pleased to empower subscribers through the K750,000 worth TopStar House Money Car 2017 Christmas promotion.

Grand Prize winner, Ms. Precious Lubinda Wamundila expressed gratitude to TopStar for coming up with the promotion which has made her a house owner.

Ms Lubinda, who is a mother of two said she was ‘mauless’ short of words as the house located at the Great North Road,and Kasangula Road junction is relief from paying rentals.

“The house will act as a financial blanket children and I as the house located in MKP North Gate Estate is of high value and becoming an instant ‘Land-Lady’ is a miracle,” said Ms. Wamundila, referring to the plush residential area, owned by NHA MPK Estates Development Limited, a joint venture involving National Housing Authority (NHA) and MKP Group of Companies, a Malaysia construction company founded in 1964.

And Emmanuel Muzeya Dilema, a miner from Solwezi thanked TopStar and the Zambian Government for implementing the digital migration project, making it possible for rural areas to access digital television.

“Residents of Solwezi have been anxiously waiting for digital TV and I am fortunate to go back to my home town in a brand new Nissan NP300 van 4×4 facilitated by TopStar,” a delighted Dilema said.

The House Money Car promotion run from Wednesday 15th November 2017 to Wednesday 31st January, 2018 saw prizes worth K750, 000 given away to lucky TopStar subscribers.
